FDA Approvals
Tracks the openFDA Drugs@FDA feed for AP (approved) submissions from a curated set of large, US-listed pharma and biotech sponsors (Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Merck, AbbVie, Bristol Myers, Amgen, Gilead, Vertex, Regeneron, Biogen, Moderna, Novartis, AstraZeneca, GSK, J&J, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, Takeda, BioMarin, Alnylam, Jazz, Incyte, Exelixis, Halozyme, United Therapeutics, Neurocrine). Emits a long-bias trade_card for the sponsor's ticker on each new approval. Original approvals (ORIG) score higher than supplemental ones (SUPPL). Every sponsor ticker is verified present in the tradeable universe — never a fabricated mapping.

An FDA approval is a concrete, dated, binary catalyst. A new-drug approval opens a fresh revenue line; a supplemental approval expands the market for an existing drug and lifts consensus estimates. Both routinely move the sponsor's stock the day they post.
